The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Warriors Party

From the very beginning of Campaign 4, fresh DM Brennan Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with deep backstory, a diverse cast of heroes, and a thrilling plot including angels, demons, and malevolent powers growing in strength within Dol-Makjar.

Warning: Spoilers for the third episode of Campaign 4 lie ahead.

The Combat-Oriented Party Unveiled

The third episode ended with a huge suspense moment and revealed the premier party of adventurers who will split off from the primary party to begin their own adventure, separate from the other two tables.

The Soldiers table includes the determined fighter (played by Travis), the agile character (Laura), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie).

Dividing the Cast

Given an extensive roster, it was clear from the beginning that keeping everyone at one table would be unfeasible.

This explains, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Prelude, weaving together the personal journeys before dividing into three distinct groups: Warriors, Schemers, and Seekers.

Characteristics of the Warrior Group

As described by the DM, the warrior group is for participants who enjoy a classically intense fight-heavy gameplay experience where diplomatic options are few and far between.

Upon first impression, characters like the squeamish cleric Wicander might look out of place, but the developments of episode 3 show why these five characters are best suited for the combat party.

Reasons to Leave

First, the group understands precisely where to go next after a intense first encounter with The Crow Keepers.

Casimir of Thjazi Fang—whose passing started the story’s plot—manipulated the enemy for his personal gain, entering the secret base, attacking the character, and stealing all the magical artifacts to auction.

The antagonist then paid off his debts and escaped to a Halovar stronghouse in Gormalay, Timmony, above Dol-Makjar, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.

Character Drivers

Moreover, each member has a individual motive to depart the metropolitan area:

  • The agile hero, as the companion and trusted friend, wants retribution.
  • Kattigan knows the northern area and cautions that it is a hostile place.
  • The strong character and The healer, having defied his relatives’ demands to execute the target and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
  • But, their position as prominent individuals in the influential clan could enable the party enter places they usually can’t.
  • Moreover, The fighter vowed a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his salvation and will now go with him anywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Lastly, all of them are sought by the rulers that govern the city for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally too risky:

  • The agile adventurer and The hero are known criminals.
  • The strong figure and The healer betrayed House Halovar and the army of fiends they are allied with.
  • The fighter is marked for death by the clan.

This leaves them no alternative but to travel to the northern region in pursuit of Casimir.

Future Episodes

Based on the latest episode’s follow-up content, we find out that the Soldiers table will be absent in the upcoming installment, leaving the rest of the players to form the Explorers and Planners tables.

Fans can anticipate finding out which adventurers will be assigned to which table in the season’s final introductory chapter, released on next week.
